The police discovered a swindle involving millons of marks. A woman named Smoll persuaded the customs officals that unlimited sums bad been placed at her disposal from America, to relievo the distressed in Germany, and was thereupon granted permission to import, duty free, one hundred wagon loads of foodstuffs. Thirty wagons have already been sold, tho swindler reaping the benefit.

A disturbance occurred at Konigsbeig, on the occasion of the celebration of the death of Liebknecht. A Communist crowd attacked the police, who were reinforced and then scattered tho attackers. There were a number of casualties.
