ARAHURA SPORTS
The sports held in Ward’s paddock at Arahura on Wednesday proved to be a highly successful affair. There was a large attendance of the public from town and country. Mitchell 2. Local Chop.—R. Fluetv 1, B. Koeti 2. x Arahura Handicap Chop.—W. Blackmun, B. Koeti (dead heat) 1, Farmers Chop.—C. Cook I, H. Woods ■> Single Ladies’ Race. —T.. Muir 1. I>. Mills 2. Single Men’s Race.—o. Mason l, H. Woods 2. Married Ladies’ Race. —Mrs Freitas 1, Mrs Bell 2. Married Men’s Race.—G. Hewlett 1, W. Wilson 2. . Bicycle Race.—H. Blackmun 1, C. Finch 2. Stepping Competition.—D. Agnew. Single Ladies’ Race.'—B. Muir 1, R. Ward 2. The .sum of about £4 was spent on the children’s races. The Committee desire to thank Hie public for the donation of funds and the following donators of trophies:—Mr I. Brown, Ted Toohey, J. Breeze, J. Brockleliurst, S. Preston and "a sportsman,” and Mr B. Ward for the use of his paddock.
