TEA-ROOM SCARE.
GLASGOW, Nov 20. Afternoon tea was being enjoyed in a Glasgow tea-room yesterday when a number of women in evident panic jumped upon tables and chairs. They had just caught sight of the tea-room cat amusing itself by releasing and pouncing upon a young rat. Taking fright at the commotion, the rat eluded its captor and sought refuge in the trousers of a young man. He retired and the rat sprang out and vanished.
