; FOUND HANGING. * * LEVIN, January 10. j Robert Melton, aged 33, a railway - surfaceman, disappeared from his home 1 .last Monday. Search parties were out all the week. The body was discovered •yesterday hanging to a tree on .a farm near the town. De6eased had Ifeen suffering from a nervous breakdown. He leaves a wife and three young children. 1 ;i NSTiTtyriv of surveyors. AUCKLAND, January 7. The New Zealand Institute'of Surveyors held its annual meeting to-day. Mr J. Strauchon presiding. The balance sheet showed a deficiency of £5 9s 8d on the year's working. It was agreed to increase the annual subscription to £2 2s, and to abolish life membership by the impoundment of subscriptions, substituting life membership after 35 years of continuous financial membership Mr A. H, Bridge was elected president, and Messrs Wall (Wanganui), ledger (Nelson), and Seddon (Wellington) were appointed councillors.
