The death of Airs Alary Haddock of South Westland, which took place at Herepo on Saturday afternoon, removes another old and respected resident of the south district, her end coming somewhat suddenly, though she had been in failing health. A native of Ireland, and 78 years of age, the deceased had been a resident of Ross for many years. Her husband was killed in the Ross United mine some 28 or 29 years ago. Deceased had reared a iarge family of" nine, six sons (Leo, Frank, Edward, Peter, Eugene and Patrick! and three daughters (Airs Simes of Southland, Sister Alary Anthonsus, of Wanganui, and Aliss Kate Haddock of Herepo).
