WEDDING BELLS.

McCarthy—BRENNAN. A very pretty wedding, with Nuptial Mass, was celebrated at St Patrick’s Churchy Greymouth, yesterday morning. The contracting parties were Mr Arthur McCarthy, son of Mrs McCarthy of Preston Road, and Miss Mary Brennan, daughter of .Mrs Brennan, of ißlaketown. The Rev Father Le Croix tied the nuptial knot. The bride looked charming in a beautiful dress of white silk, and many admiring eyes followed her as she walked into the church on the arm of her brother, Mr E. Brennan. She carried a shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride who was attended by her sister, Miss M. Brennan as bridesmaid, was given away by her brother, Mr K. Brennan, and the bridegroom was attended to by Mr G. Molloy as groomsman. NICHOLSON-G A RD Y NE. A quiet and pretty wedding was celebrated on Monday the 27th, Dee. at the residence of Mrs Gardyne, Hampden St. Hokitika, the mother of the bride, when her fourth daughter Jemima, was married to Mr Charles Reginald Nicholson, late of Baxter’s, the officiating minister being Rev. P. B. Fraser M.A. The bride who was given away by Mr T. Marks wore a grey tailormade costume, with hat to match, and carried a spray of roses. She looked charming and was attended by the Mi sses Timpsons, who wore fugi silk frocks. The. best man was Mr AY. .T. Marks. .After the ceremony, the customary breakfast followed the tables being beautifully decorated with rata. The usual toasts were honoured and expressions of congratulation and good will tendered to the newly married couple, who left later in the day for Otago, where the honeymoon is to bo spent. In the evening the' bride’s mother entertained a large number of friends, who spent an enjoyable time. Air and Mrs Nicholson are to reside in Hokitika.
