POLLARD’S PICTURES.
TO-NIGHT! TO-NIGHT I To-night Pollard’s present Pauline Frederick in “The Peace of Roaring River,” a dynamic story of the woman who answered an ad. in a matrimonial newspaper. An emotional drama lift/' strikes at tlie heart of tilings. Wanted —A Wife—-and she answered tlie ad Why not ? It said lie owned a mine, and an elegant home. She craved tli. love of a good man of means and i.eie was her .chance. A few letters, exchange of photos, and an invitation to conic to him—and she did. She pawned her poor, pitiful jewels to pay her way and then—-she met him—not in the ‘elegant home’ lie had pictured in his letters, but in a dilapidated, weatherbeaten shack. A sneering glance, a bolted door—and she realised that she had been trapped. Trapped—out there, alone in the wide, open west. Penni-les-s, the victim of a treacherous ad. she had only her woman’s weapons—but they were cold steel, and honor was at stake. Madge Nelson stood her ground and dared the usurper to rob her of all that was nearest and ,dearest to her heart.. A shot and a scream! Who had bred it?
