Royalists are closing in on Fiume. Somo reports from Rome state that regulars occupy the town. There has iboen considerable bloodshed, mostly around the barricades, barbed wire and fortified houses where the insurgents made a determined stand. While the Royalists are hampered by Giolitti’s request to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, they were compelled to storm machine guns at tlie point of the bayonet.
