BOWLING.
The Hokitika Bowling Club held a pleasant progressive pairs match on Christmas Day 16 players taking part. The weather in the morning threatened rain but it cleared up ns the morning wore on and the weather from 11 o’clock was very warm'and fine. The highest scores wore:—Skips—Stevenson' 6 wins, Nalder and Benjamin 4 wins J. H. Wilson, and W. Wilson 3 wins. Lead’s—Dal'gloish won with 4 wins, Wells also securing 4 wins, Galbraith Scott, and Bain 3 each.
