Doctor Tozer, the well known cricketer, was shot dead at the residence of H. Smart. The latter telephoned Dr Tozer yesterday morning to come to see his wife, who has been ill for some days. Tozer had hardly entered the sick room when shots were heard and on the door being forced Tozer was found dead, with a bullet through his brain and Mrs Smart shot in the left breast.
