POST AND TELEGRAPH ARRANGEMENTS

Christmas Day, Saturday, 25th December, 1920—The Post Office will -be • closed in all branches on Xmas Day. Mails for Greymoutii, Christchurch, etc (including overland and South Westland) will close at 8 p.m. the previous evening Friday 24th) the town re- * ceivers being .cleared at t p.m. - Otlieys mails usually despatched on • Saturday will he suspended. There will be a delivery over the Counter by postmen on Friday evening from 9.15 to 10.15 p.m. or as soon as the mails are sorted. Telegraph Office opens 10 to 10.30 a.m.; 5 to 5.30 p.m. Telephone Exchange 9.10 a m.; 5-6 p.m. . Boxing Day, Monday 27th. December ' —The Post Office will be open in fill branches (except Money Order md Savings Bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mail* for Groymouth line, also for Christchurch, etc., (overland) will close at 5.30 a.m. All otter mails usually despatched on Monday will close at 8 am. Town misting boxes will be cleared at 5.30 a.m. 'The Postmen will make one complete delivery in the morning commencing, at 7.30 a.m. Telegraph Office open—9-10 a m.; 7-8 p.m. Telephone Exchange—9 a.m. to 10 p.m. New Years Day, Saturday Ist.
