IN IRELAND.
(Reuter’s Telegrams.) A DARING MURDER.. LONDON, Dec. 18. District inspector Sullivan was killed in Dublin while walking in civilian attire with his fiancee Miss Moore. Two youths came up, said, “Hullo, are you ready?” and fired a revolver in Sullivan’s eye. The girl with great courage grappled one of the murderers and prevented liis using his revolver. The other fired again. The thoroughfare was crowded at the time, but the murderers escaped. THE HOME RULE BILL. LONDON, Dec 18. After a debate the House of Lords agreed to the House of Commons amendments to the Home Rule Bill. The opposing Peers decided not to vote. The Bill will receive the Royal Assent in a few days. It is expected that Ulster will have, her Parliament in being by June. A PRECAUTION. LONDON, Deo 19. A General commanding in County Kerry has notified*his area that he will send Sinn Fein prisoners as hostages [ with all Crown Transport owing to treacherous attacks.
