CONCERT AND BALL RIMU.

A very enjoyable evening was spent in Riinu on Friday night in tho form of a concert and ball to raise funds to erect a tablet in Woodstock School in memory of tlie fallen soldiers of that district. Tlie first portion of the evening was taken up by a Ministrel Troupe amongst whom the most prominent were Mr G° Head* (interlocutor), Mr W. McFadyen (Bones), and Mr J. Bergman (Tnrnbo). These men were very funny, and they kept the audience merry with their local bits and humorous jokes. The songs rendered by the company were the latest ragtime and were well received. Other items were rendered— Trio, by Misses E. Cummings, L. Milner and E. Morris; Song “Up She Goes”, six girls; Song, by Miss Forsyth, and a characer song “Billo” by Mr T. Boyd. This was well applauded and recalled ; Song and dance Primrose Time”, Company; Pin no forte duet bv Misses Lawn and Pascoe; Sing “Khaki and Blue”, by Miss M.'Ayson, .Mr T. Boyd, and R. Stephens was recalled; Song “By the Camp Fires” (recalled), Miss S 5 ) an d; Song and Dance “Moonstruck”, Misses M. Ayson, K. Willoughby, I. Morris* (recalled). This grand concert was most successful, and most entirely due to the hard work of Miss Nancekivell who had tlie arrangements of the concert in her hands. Miss Lamaeroft and Miss Pascoc were the accompanists. The ball, .too, was a great success, excellent music was supplied by MiLawn. Extras were played by Misses Lawn, Pascoe, Scott, and Mr T. Boyd had cliargo of the floor.
