Advices .from New Orleans state a workman, by dropping a hot rivet into oil, caused a fire in the docks which were destroyed, as well as the • United States Shipping Board steamers Sarrata, Dilwyn and John Adams. The naval court of inquiry sent to ■ Haitai to investigate charges that United States/ marines discriminatcly killed natives (cabled on 14th) has reported that there were no grounds for the charges. The Court praised the work of the marines at Haitai and declares where unjustifiable homicides occurred in two instances, the guilty persons were punished.
