WIN FOR DJ3MPSEY. OTTAWA, Dec 14. Jack Dempsey knocked out Brennan iiv the twelfth round.

DEiMPSEY-BRENNAX MATCH. (Received This Day at 8.30 a m.) NEW YORK, December 14.

From the beginning to the end of the Dempsey-Brennan fight, it was a quick, vigorous and a full hard, give and take battle. The first two rounds were even, both men slashing at each other with body and head blows. The third round favoured Brennan who drove the champion to the ropes with body jabs. The fourth and fifth rounds were Dempsey’s, the champion staggering his opponent with a vicious onslaught. Both men clinched often, but Dempsey succeeded in severely punishing Brennan about the body during clinches. The sixth and seventh rounds were slightly in favour of Dempsey. Brennan, however, vigorously opposing the champion in the eighth round. Brennan’s mouth was badly cut and he v r ns very weary. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) new York, Sept. 15. The ninth, tenth and eleventh rounds found both men opposing each other staunehley. Dempsey’s mouth and left ear were badly bleeding. Brennan appeared very fired, but during the eleventh lie seemed to force the fighting. Dempsey continued to punish Brennan about the body during the clenches. A knock-out blow' came in the second minute of the twelfth round, when Dempsey landed a right to the heart, followed with a left to the ribs, thus ended what is considered the most vicious contested heavy-weight championships seen here for a long time,
