ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. A DEPRESSED MARKET. (By Tolegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. follows regarding their stock sale yesterday:— Store cattle.—A -small and nondescript entry, mostly odd lots. Two good pons of 3 and 4-year old bullocks inajdo £l2 10s; 18-mos and 2-year old £5 5s 6d to £8; yearlings £3 Gs to £4 10s; a few .better making £5 ss; good frosli cows £4 Ills to £7 ss. The general tone 0 f the market was depressed. Beef.—A similar entry to last week, hut tho qualify was very irregular. Best quality was firm, hut light and inferor sorts and old cows were easier. Best steers £22s to £26 ss; prime £lB to £-21 ; medium sorts £l3 to £l7; inferior to £l2 os. Prime cows £l2 10s to £ls 7s Cd; one extra good making £2O ss; others £7 10s to £l2; heifers to £lO 17s 6d, others £ll 10s to £l4 15s 6d; lighter, £9 10s to £ll. Mutton. —Another largo entry and too many for butchers’ reuqirements. The quality was very irregular. A good proportion of ewes was yarded, including many inferior sorts. Evidently the continued dry weather is forcing them on the market, which was decidedly easier all round, especially for light wethers and inferior sorts down as low as 14s 6d. ' Store sheep.—A smaller yarding than last week and prices were easier all round. Best wetliers from 25s to 26s 6d one epecially good pen making 29s lOd; best 2-tooth up •t 0 245, inferior and others from 10s 6d to 18s. Best ewes and lambs up to 19s, others from 12s 6d. All classes wero wero hard to quit and the market generally was depressed
