(Reuter’* Telegrams.) POSITION IN CORK. LONDON December 14. A niiltary enquiry into the Cork fires lias begun. Suspects will be tried by a drumhead court-martial, whether they are soldiers or civilians. Punishment will bo of the utmost severity, if any are convicted. If the fires have caused loss of life, those convicted will be charged with murder. The Right. Hon. Dennis Henry, At-torney-General for Ireland, in the House of Commons, said that the auxiliary poljfce had been now removed from Cork City. SINN FEINERS SEIZE MAILS. LONDON, Jlecember 5. j A small party of Sinn Feiners made ' a dalring seizure of mails from the military outside the Dublin Post Office ’ in the* daylight. They did it after on exchange of rifle and revolver fire, . with four of the soldiers in charge of the mail car. Some were injured; but . people in the street were terrified and flung themselves on the ground. The ’. escort saved some registered packets. :!
