COLOURED “UNDIES.”
PARIS, Oct. 20. Women’s lingerie must oil no account he white, according to the latest Paris ruling. In shop windows in .the Opera quarter one can no longer see foamy white lace and dainty frills and tucks such as used to. prove so attractive to women visitors to Paris. Bright colours and simple lines new prevail. Anything but cambric or fine linen will do as material and any colour of the rainbow is permissable. But russet-browns and reds are the most fashionable.
A curious feature of the elaborate printed crepe de chine now much worn is the copies of Egyptian mural paintings which they l>ear, pretty little jumping rabbits reminiscent of a child’s nursery book. They are considered most effective just now, says an expert.
