Instead of individual representation, it is preferable, where there is an oiganisation or body representing any trade or commercial interest, that that body should submit its views on account of the trade or interest concerned. A Committee of Departmental Officers will visit the principal business centres during March, April and May, 1921, to hear those who wish to spsak in support of any applications or communications which have been lodged. ROSS SPORTS. A SPORTS MEETING in aid of the Ross Medical Fund will be held at Ross on WEDNESDAY 29th DEC. J.'he programme includes chopping, sawing and running events beside a large number of other items. Suitablo train arrangements have been made including one leaving Ross at 6 p.m. connecting with train leaving Hokitika for Greymouth at 6.55 p.m. A ball will bo held in the Totara Hall in the evening.
