(Router's Telegrams.) MOB LAW IN INDIA. . (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) DELHI, Dec. 10. Lawlessness over the elections has caused Delhi to be proclaimed a seditious area. Measures are being taken to restore order. Leaders of the socalled volunteers and military organisation of non-cooperntionists have been arrested, and various corps disbanded., At Lahore, attacks on polling stations continue. Crowds parade the streets singing seditious songs. In certain districts mobs control the streets and voting is impossible.
BANKING MOVE. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) DELHI, Dec. 9. A banking amalgamation is foreshadowed by the offer of the Peninsular and Oriental banking corporation to purchase ordinary shares of Allahabad bank, conditionally' upon the acceptance of the offer *>*• holders of not less than 75 per cent of the shares. Holders are also given an option to receive shares in the Peninsular-Oriental banking corporation.
