Thoughts For The Times
Machinery on the Farm.
A new era is dawning for the nation if only our soil can be cultivated and made to yield its best quantity and quality of produce, and it is now clearly evident to the farmer that the only way to ensure a reasonable profit and repay himself foe his work, is by adopting modern inventions and making use of all the tjmq and labor-saving appliances. Scientific research and engineering genius have brought to light. Labour is claiming higher , wages and shorter hours, and it must be obvious that in order to produce the same or better results from the land he is culti_ vating, the farmer must make use of some now means whereby he can do mpre and better work in less time than he could possibly hope to do previously.
