DAVIS CUP POSSIBILITIES. (Received This Day at 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 3. The “Herald” critic, discussing the Davis Cup representatives, says in view of Brookes defeat by Peach in the Victorian semi-finals O’Hara-Wood most probably will bo Australasia’s second string in the singles. Patterson showed improving play throughout the Victorian contests and again proved himself our leading singles player. His present form should stand hiiq well at Auckland.

The “Sun” critic thinks Patterson good enough to win against both Americans and as regards the doubles, if Brookes is well and Patterson plays up to form, Australiaßia’s chances are distinctly good.
