Leygues and Hon Lloyd George have agreed that Smyrna shall not revert to the Turks and subjec to Sforza’s concurrence, will include the idea 0 f establishing an international regime therein, in which England, France and Italy will participate as woll as America, if the latter desires. Moreover Holland having important material interests in the region might be asked to i°i n> ATHENS, Nov. 27. It is anounced that all future laws henceforth will be promulgated in Constantine’s name. CONSTANTINOPLE, Nov. 27. The French have established a camp for refugees from Wrangel’s army at Chataldja. This is interpreted ns a precaution against a possible Red invasion via Roumania, perhaps with Kemalist assitance from Asia Minor. Moreover they are entirely reconstructing Adrianople and other fortifications on the Thracian front.
WASHINGTON, Nov 28,
It is reported that Britain has approached United States concerning measures for the relief of Russian, civilian refugees from Crimea, numbering about thirty thousand in Constantinople, and neighbouring districts, which are unable to accommodate the great migration. It is believed Britain proposed the refugees should be taken to the north coast of Africa where permanent colonies may be established, on a self sustaining basis.
INDIAN TENNIS. DELHI, Nov. 27
A meeting of All India Tennis Association at Delhi decided to enter India for the Davis Cup in 1921. The team will consist of British subjects, or subjects of native States.
