Most of the critics believed that the Englishmen had the game safely in hand at tho end of Saturday’s play. It is now generally admitted that the Australians’ strength. for tho tests has been under-rated, and especially thqir howling. It is pointed out that England’s bowling strength was not fully available this match. The result has given increased interest in the first test.
