- (Reuter’s Telegram.) I i WALL STREET EXPLOSION. (Received This Day at 8.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 23. Interest in the unsolved Wall Street explosion continues. An independent investigation by the “Evening World” js in progress. Many organisations are aiding the newspapers. Burns Detective Agency one of the greatest American organisations of its kind, has offered fifty thousand dollars in addition to the existing 20,500 dollars reward, but declared, it did not believe the “Evening World’s” investigation would lead to the discovery of the perpetrators. Deaths due to the explosion now total forty, and the injured to more than three hundred. CHINESE FINANCE. (Received This Day at 8.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 23. The Chicago “Tribune’s” 'Shanghai correspondent reports that Chinese bankers will meet on fifth December for j the purpose of organising a national | Chinese Bankers Association to undertake the national finance and c o-operate with the Glreat (Powers Consortium. The bankers organisation adopted a resolution urging no further foreign loans should be accepted without approval of tlie Chinese Parliament. JAPAN AND AMERICA. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) TOIOO, November 22. The “Kokumin Shimbun” reports the Japanese Government has decided to make a formal enquiry at Washington whether Bolsheviks concessions to the American syndicate cabled on the 27th. October are true. It is reported these concessions conflict with Japanese holdings, and if confirmed Japan will take the necessary steps to protect her interests.
