The original announcement of tht Miners’ Federation making a demanc of 25 per cent, increase of rates of pay I to date from Ist March was due to a typing error. It is proposed that tht increase should date from Ist November. Serious trouble is threatened at Bind ball mine over the alleged victimisatioi of men who have taken or who art taking a prominent part in Federatior and Union affairs. The Union is con > cerncd over the refusal of the Company to reinstate three men, and the Federation will support the Union.
