Allen has been appointed reporter of tiio section commission dealing with finance. The Secrtetary of the Armaments Commission not being in a position to deal with the reduction of armaments with precision held a public sitting for a general discussion on tho subject. Mr Cunha (Brazil) gave noitice of motion that members of the League should separately legislate to prevent, as far as possible, private ini dustries engaging in the manufacture !of war material and that any such manufacture should be exclusively the monopoly of the State. Polish advices received in Paris state the Reds have concentrated towards Crimea and are likely to become active in Caucasus rather than against Poland. Domski, presiding at a plenary sitting of the conference at Riga, emphasised that it was Poland’s intention to conclude a definite stable peace. Joffe responded to this sentiment, adding that all misunderstanding regarding Poland’s sincerity Ims now disappeared.
