(Reuter’s Telegram.) FARMERS PROPOSAL. NEW YORK, Nov. 18. The National Farmers Union Conference at Kansas City decided on united action to counteract the falling prices It was claimed that farmers were robbed of a billion dollars, owing to the reduction of values of present products. AH farmers were advised to hold their grain until profit making levels were reached. A STATEMENT DENIED. Reuter’e Telegrams WASHINGTON, Nov. 18. The State Department denies the article published in the Mexico City newspaper “La Vanguardia” alleging that United States, Britain and France have signed a Treaty in Washington in 1917, wherein Britain recognised the Monroe Doctrine and priority of United States in Mexico Britain also agreeing not to permit Japan to acquire territory in Central America or the Pacific anywhere. The newspaper also asserted that in the case of Japan objecting, the American and British fleets would unite against the Japanese.
AMERICAN FARMERS. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 18. National Farmers Union at Kansas City has sent a request to its members who are said to number eight hundred thchisand throughout the country, urging the organisation of producers to strike in grain, cotton wool, livestock, as a retaliation for the abnormal deflation of prices through which American farmers have lost a billion dollars.
