The verdict was greeted with cheers and clapping in the court. The Judge stated he agreed with the verdict. Seven thousand words of press matter were telegraphed from the Carmaitliern Post Office each day about the trial and at least 150 thousand words were telephoned. It is announced that Greenwood lias sold his “life story” to a London publisher for £3,600 sterling SENSATIONAL JOURNALISM. (Received This Day at 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, November 10. Before he was acquitted, Greenwoods solicitors met representatives of the newspapers and auctioned an interview of his life story, if the verdict was not guilty. The highest bid was £3,600. This has since been increased to £5,000 making a new phase of sensational journalism. The foreman of tho jury was managing director of a firm of manufacturing chemists, dealing in arsenic.
