Grogan, secretary of the Crevmouth Boxing Association, received a cable from Eugene Volaire yesti-day, statin" that he defeated Tommy Ryan on points at Brisbane last Saturday night, after a 20 rounds contest, At last week’s meeting of the County Council Mr Morel moved with regard to the question of further cement supplies for the district, In response to a telegram, Mr Bruce County Chairman, has been advised by the Board of Trade that it is expected small shipments will be arranged next both Wilson’s Portland and Golden Baj for supplies^, of cement for Westland County. v -
