I AUSTRALIAN & N.Z. OABLB ASSOCIATION) ELECTION DETAILS. (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 6. Miss Alice Rbbertson, 65 years old, is the only woman elected to Congress. When she was offered the Republican nomination for Congress she considered it an empty compliment since her district was normally Democratic. Among the women elected to office in different sections of the country are Mayoress Burns (Oregon State) as Senator, two sherriff’s officers in Michigan, women treasurers, women county clerks, several counties of Michigan and all municipal officers in Oregon. It is estimated a considerable number of women candidates of every variety of State office have been elected. I UNOFFICIAL FIGURES. j NEW YORK, Nov. 7. | The New York “He ( rald” states the complete unofficial returns show Harding’s plurality totalled 6,800,000. Thirty-seven States went Republican. Kentucky remained Democratic by a narrow margin of 3,958 votes.
