[LONDON TIMES SERVICE—COP EBIOHI] RUSSIA STARVING. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.lit.*) COPENHAGEN, Nov. 4. Lenin says Moscow and other cities are paralysed by famine. Russia never before was faced with such a food crisis. Even the army is starving. Trotsky has announced that owing to a fuel famine and riots the movement of troops is ‘'’difficult. ’Soldiers are without clothes and short of equipment. Unless the requisites are supplied their efforts are useless.
POLISH ATTACKS. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, Nov. 4. A message from Kovno states Lithuanians have recaptured Gedroizi north of Viljna. Both sides are suffering heavy losses. Poles captured Dukschty in northern-Lithuania. It is believed the Poles intend to invade Lettonia. SWEDISH TRADE SLUMP. (Received This Day at 9.45 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, Nov. 4. Owing to reduced orders, scarcity of money and heavy foreign compedtion, many Swedish ironworks are closing down.
