PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS of '‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and its amendments, public notice is hereby given that on WEDNESDAY, the 10th. DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1920; tho Westland County Counoil will I proceed to take a poll throughout the County of Westland on the proposal for raising a special loan for the purchase of road-making machinery to include a motor tipping lorry, a portable stone crushing plant and elevator, and a road roller; such plant to be used for constructing, providing and establishing public works within the County of Westland; th e sum proposed to be borrowed shall not exceed £3,000; the proposed security is by a special rate not exceeding nine-fourteenths of a farthing in the pound on the capital rateable value; repayment of the principal sum to be by twenty half-yearly instalments of £l5O each; and it is not proposed to pay out of the loan any costs connected with the raising of the loan, or the interest and sinking fund for the first year. PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913” “The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908,” and the amendments thereof, a poll of the electors of the Westland County will be taken on Wednesday, the 10th. DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1920, on a proposal to raise a special loan not exceeding £3,000 for the purchase of road-making machinery to include a motor tipping lorry, a portable stonecrushing plant and elevator, and a road roller; such loan to be secured by a specially annually recurring rate not exceeding nine-fourteenths of a farthing in the pound on the capital rateable value; the loan to be repaid in ten years by twenty-half yearly instalments of £l5O each; and it is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan or the interest and sinking fund for the first year. Hours of polling on the aforesaid date will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the following polling places: County Chajmbers, Hokitika (principal). Schoolhouses, Otira, Wainihinilii, Kumara.
