Amendments made by the Legislative Council in the Wanganui Borough Empowering Bill, Housing Amendment Bill, and Municipal Corporations Amendment Bill were agreed to. j The Aviation Amendment was read a first time. Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Bill and Government railways Bill passed the second reading proforma, and were referred to committees. The following Bills were put through the final stages and passed:—lron and Steel Industries Amendment; Land Drainage Amendment and Incorporated Societies Amendment. The House rose at 5.45 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Monday.
