CORRESPONDENCE.
AN APPRECIATION. (To the Editor). Sir, —In connection with the accidenl to my car in the Little Wanganui river I would like to express my admiration of the conduct of Mr Charles Glass junr., for it was he who assisted Mri Houston safely to the shore. When th< car grounded after drifting down tin river, he immediately jumped off hit horse which was towing the car, anti took Mrs Houston out of the car, which on being lightened a hit immediately overturned with Mr Dick and myself aboard. His presence of mind throughout the occurrence was most commendable and no doubt prevented a mere serious accident. I am etc., M. HOUSTON.
