Mr Horn expressed satisfaction with i this finding, of the Committee. Nearly every other industry, be said, bad been compensated in regard to the limiting of tbo prices of products dlying the war, but the gold miners had suffonjd and the banks hod made a big profit in | consequence.

Mr Bitehoner, who presented the petition supported this statement of the member for Wivkltipu, and Mr Rhodes, the chairman of the Committee also put in a plea for the miners in the north as -well ns in the south. The report of the Committee was adopted.
