Under the settlement, the miners receive 2s from the resumption of work to the Christmas holidays. A new scale, ' operating from 3rd January will he on a sliding scale. If the output to Christmas reaches the average output of the July-September quarter, the rise will he Is over the existing rates, with an additional sixpence out of every extra £288,000 sterling profits arising from export. The wages shall be fixed every four weeks, being based on the results of the proceeding four weeks.
