(Received This Day at 9.40 a.m.) ADELAIDE Oct, 27. Mr McGregor, a woollen manufacturer ,who has returned from a trip to the Old World says the wool position in England is entirely artificial. Wool values will probably drop within twelve months to a pre-war basis. Instead of eighty millions expected by the Commonwealth for the 1920-21 clip, it will be lucky, if it gets twenty-five. Mr McGregor anticipates keen competition; profit cutting and cheaper clothing. LIQUOR POLL. MELBOURNE, Oct. 27. Mr Theodore states Australian meat is marketed under inferior conditions at Smithfield, whilst South American is shown in splendid condition. The latter is sold on arrival, hut Australian is left lying in open trucks sixty hours and sometimes is stored for a peridd of t three years . !
