1 AUSTRALIAN & N.E CaBLE ABSOOUTION] McSWEENEY’S CONDITION. LONDON, Oct. 21. Mayor McSweeney was delirious at Bhixton Gaol all night. Violent vomiting'followed. The scurvy now covers his whole body. Hon Mr Shortt (Home Minister in Parliament) asserted McSweeney was given a. little liquid food during the time of his semi-consciousness. He said this was not forcibly feeding him. He McSweeney had voluntarily swallowed when a cup was held in his lip in this state. (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, October 25. McSweeney died this morning. ’LONDON, Oct. 25. McSweeney never recovered consciousness and died at 5.40 a.m. His brother John, and Chaplain Father Donning were present. Other relatives arrived at the gaol at nine o’clock.
