ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. A LARGE ENTRY. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yestor--day:— Store sheep—A large entry, mostly of hoggets and wethers. All classes of host sheep sold equal to last week rates, /hut inferior and coarse woolled sorts were much easier. Best wethers sold to 38s 6d; others, 30s to 355; best hoggets to 31s; others 20s to 245; ewes and lambs, 20s to 245. Store Cattle—A full yarding comprising many nondescript sorts. A good demand for all good sorts, hut medium and inferior were not so good. There was a. fair demand from peninsular graziers for any good conditioned steers and. fresh young cows. Beef —The yarding was a good deal larger than last sale ,comprising some excellent quality, hut a good proportion were medium .and unfinished sorts. All prime stuff was firm, hut others were a good deal easier and a fair number were passed in. Best beef brought £3O 10s to £35; a few extra good to £39s lOd; prime £25 10s to £3O; medium £2l to £25 15s; lighter and graziers, £l4 to £2O 10s; best cows £l7 10s to £25; heifers, host £ls 2os to £2l 10s. Mutton—A large yarding comprising some excellent sheep, hut a fair proportion was only middling. Best sheep, especially cross-breeds were firm, hut light and inferior were not so good. Best wethers 51s to 595; a few extra good to 675; prime 40s 6d to 49s 6d; medium 35s to 39s 6d. Best half breeds for shearing 37s 6d to 41s, light and unfinished cross breeds neglected, host ewes 44s to 525, others 34s to 435. A few shorn wethers made to 44s 6d, medium sorts 33s 6d to 35s Gd.
