It is notified in this issue the programme for the Measuring Concert at the Town Hall on Thursday evening. This was originally intended to be held to-morrow, but has been adjourned till Thursday as stated. The programme is an attractive one, and as the cause is of the best a large attendance is confidently expected. Circulars have been sent opt, but those not in receipt of same, will be as cordially welcomed. The novel charge of admission by height measurement will be made.
j The Sisters of St Columbkille’s Convert are at present preparing their pupils for grand vocal and instrumen tal concert which is to be held in the Princess Theatre on Nov. 24th. The | Theatre lias been kindly placed at their : disposal on that date by Pollard’s Picture proprietors. As these concerts have been very popular in the past, the public are promised a treat as all the best local talent will be in evidence on that occasion. The object is a worthy one. The proceeds are to be devoted to the upkeep of the schools, and the tickets which are in circulation should meet with a ready sale.
