Mr MoOombs moved an amendment that the report he referred back , to the Committee with a view to fixing the retail price at 1/9 per lb and the creation of an equalisation fund by the additions to land and income tax and death diij ties. The debate was again interrupted by the adjournment. The House resumed at 7.30 p.m. The Death Duties Amendment Bill passed the second reading. , .• , The Statutes Drafting Compilation Bill was put through all. stages and passed. ' Crown and other Land Bills were in 10duced by Governor General’s message and read a first time. The House rose at 9.40 p.m.
