'PKc PKEBB ASSOCIATION.—OOPYJMUttT. ■ RUGBY RULES. WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. A conference of representatives of clubs affiliated to the Wellington Rugby Union was held to-night to consider the proposed amendments to the rules of Rugby. A resolution was passed affirming loyalty to the English Union, and expressing the intention of abiding unreservedly by the rules of the interna--tional hoard. The Conference then proceeded to discuss the proposed amendments, on the understanding that whatever decision was ultimately arrived at would not mean a breakaway from the English Union. All the proposed amendments were rejected, save those already affirmed by the English Union, and one other which relates to kicking into touch from a penalty or inside kicker’s twenty live, in which ease the ball shall he brought back into play in the -usual why at a spot opposite to where it was kicked from.
