A telegram from Warsaw states that Wrangel has called on Ukranian bankeds and other connected with the Deniken regime for help. Petloura has been sent to make a protest to Wrangel. RIGA, October 9. Lengthy discussions occurred between the Polish and Russian delegations. M. Joffe endeavoured to prolong the conference by proposing a compromise on the frontier question. The Poles were firm. M. Joffe finally accepted their proposal. '< Some reports state the protocol has been signed, and otheirs say an arrangement. is made merely for- a truce and not for peace. MONITORS FOR POLAND. DEFENSIVE ALLIANCE _ LONDON, Oct. 8. The “Daily Telegraph” Helsingfor correspondent says Finland, Poland, Hungary and Roumania contemplate a defensive alliance against possible Bolshevist aggression. REPORTED RUSSIAN REBELILON. LONDON, Oct. 8. It is rumoured at Riga that a great rebellion has broken out in Moscow.
