Our Climate’s Value. Th© importance, of the climate of the Dominion and the value of widespread information with regard to it can hardly be exaggerated. It undoubtedly has a considerable influence on the development of the sturdy manhood which play ed so splendid a part on the battlefields in the South African and'the . recent war, and also has much to do with the health and vigour of the stock which produces the meat, wool and dairy produce for which the reputation of the Dominion stands so high. The healthy conditions of the Dominion attract many immigrants. There is undoubtedly great scope for the extension of information about our weather conditions in books of reference like Whitaker’s Almanac and school geographies. It is wonderful, however, that so great- an asset as our climate has been so little advertised by the Government authorities.—Dr Bates. j
