Professor Sclilossmann, in an article in the “Medical Journal,” shows the shortness of food in Germany has not affected infantile mortality. On the other hand, in Dusseldorf, the infantile mortality in 1919 was 10.6 per thorn sand, compared with an average all over Germany of 13.6 in 1916; 15.5 in 1917; 15-4 in 1918. Schlossmann says the figures confirm the conviction of infantile mortality. MORE ITALIAN ESTATES TAKEN j (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) | ROME, Oct. 5.
