Stambullnski (Bulgarian PTemier) is (joining to London in connection with the first payment of the indemnity, due in January, which amounts to thirty-five million gold francs. QUEENSLAND LOAN. (Received This Day at 8.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, Oct. 5. Mr Theodore speaking at Mackay, said Government w’ere raising locally a two million loan voluntarily, if possible, but if necessary by compulsion. Not a penny piece in dividends will be made by London capitalists who cut off. supplies. The loan is for development and the Queensland Government will have it.
QUEENSLAND ROLLS. ARE; THEY STUFFED. (Received this day at 9.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, Oct. 5. Much doubt has been cast on the genuineness of the state rolls which are said to contain more names than the adult population of Queensland. The enrolment exceeds the Commonwealth roll by sixty-four thousand.
