LATE LOCALS.
A meeting of the Diggers’ Football Club will be held at the Drill Shed at ! 7.30 o’clock this evening. J The following team has been selected ' to represent the ITokitika No 65 Coy. Senior Cadets in their match with Grey to take place on Cass Square next Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.—Haussmaiin, Wells, Aitken, Glass, Woga.n, Breeze, Butland, Nightingale, Ross, Perham, Preston, Jones, Kelly, Wilson, Pierson, Palmer, and Stickles. All the above are requested to be at the Drill Shed at- 7.15 this evening. The Hokitika Boxing Association is holding an amateur tournament on Saturday Oct. 9th, in the Princess Theatre. The programme consists of a special six round bout betweert Robbo (Blackball), and De Valera (Grey), for two gold medals; novice, 9st and under; Feather, 9st. or under; Light lOst and under; Middle 11.6 and under, and heavy, any weight. The prizes are gold medals for winners and silver medals for runners up. All nominations are free and close on Wednesday Oct. 6.
