LATE LOCALS.
The local School Football ©Club inserts a notice of thanks in this issue for assistance rendered during the season. The Hokitika High School football team during the past season played 7 games winning 6 and losing one (against Old Boys). They scored 118 points and had 13 points scored against them*. The visiting Reefton school football team were entertained at a social in the Supreme Hall on Saturday night. The hall was crowded and a pleasant time was spent. - Yesterday afternoon the visitors were taken by motor lorry to Lake Kanieri, where afternoon tea was provided. The visitors left for the north this morning. At a, meeting of the Library Committee on Saturday thanks, were directed to he sent to Mr Wm Scott, harbourmaster, for his kindness in furnishing the institution free of cost for a considerable time past with the “Bulletin”, “Referee” and other Australian capers. Mr Scott leaves for Sydney in a few days time. Advance showing of spring fashions. Tastefully designed models in millinery just opened for your inspection at Schroder’s.
