Millerand acknowledging the Boisfrgeoise congratulations, indicated that he intends to play a bigger part in foreign affairs than the previous President, doing so -in concert with his ministers who were defenders of the Government. Details available of the capture of Bokhara by Bolsheviks show the Emir of Bokhara had wisety. concentrated his troops, whose resistance surprised the Bolsheviks. The battle for the city swayed to and fro, both sides losing heavily. Positons were won and lost again and again. The Red command was compelled to draw on all available before the city was captured, and the Emir forced to fly to the ..Afghan' frontier, with remnants of his army! After its capture Bokhara was given over to the troops to loot, the wealth of bazaars falling to the Red soldiery. Bolsheviks are now expected in .Northern Persia and Afghanistan.
